Contemporary LSB: Radical Grace Radio and LSB Hymn 347
Some shows have a theme song, Radical Grace Radio has a theme hymn. This classic Advent hymn is based on Isaiah 40:1-5.
You can catch a more traditional singing of this hymn over at Lutheran Time Out. It is the third hymn in their Advent Bonus Edition.

Comfort, comfort my people,
says your God.
Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
and cry to her
that her warfare is ended,
that her iniquity is pardoned,
that she has received from the LORD's hand
double for all her sins.
A voice cries:
In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD;
make straight in the desert
a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be lifted up,
and every mountain and hill made low;
the uneven ground shall be level,
and the rough places plain.
And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed,
and all flesh shall see it together,
for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Isaiah 40:1-5 (ESV)
Introducing Radical Grace Radio
Radical Grace Radio, the show founded on the idea that "the Lutheran Church makes a Christian Difference," can be heard on terrestrial radio stations and internet podcasts alike.
The current broadcast helps us weed through the health-and-wealth, blab-and-grab, name-and-claim teachings of modern evangelists so we can focus on the important thing in life, JESUS!
Special thanks go out to one of the show's hosts, Matthew Pancake, who is helping me figure some things out in terms of recording, midi, mp3 files, etc. These things are probably not that complicated, but I am very green at it and I appreciate his help. Matthew, much like John Records Landecker, will tell you, "Yes, that is my real name." The difference is, that really is his real name!
Check out their current broadcast here.
Check out the bios of the show's hosts plus more about the show here.
The podcast archive is here.
I am looking forward to the November 18th podcast titled, "2012! And Jesus was a Meanie." Click here to download that particular episode.
